The Art of Bugs Bunny and Chuck Jones "Door Prize" Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1993).Chuck Jones (1912 -2002) was nominated for eight Academy Awards, winning three. He also was awarded an Honorary Oscar for his contribution to the animated film, in 1996. His legacy and work has been seen in many film festivals and art exhibits over his lifetime and still today. His work is currently on a five-year Smithsonian tour that began in 2014, in New York. He also had "The Chuck Jones Experience" open in Las Vegas in 2012. This lot is something really unusual and special. It is an 80" x 28" white door-sized panel, with a huge marker drawing of Bugs Bunny! Bugs is with his carrot by his rabbit hole, with his B. Bunny mailbox, as an angry Daffy Duck looks on. This one-of-a-kind Chuck Jones original artwork was done for as a fund-raiser for The National Learning Center at the Capital's Children's Museum. The exhibit was called "Chuck Jones, An Animated Life." The door was lot #14 of only 24 pieces that were auctioned off by silent auction at the premiere of this Chuck Jones Exhibit, which occurred on 10/31/93. The description was "A Door Prize -- your own Chuck Jones cartoon, to take home on a door." Drawn by Chuck Jones, with large drawings that take up two full feet (24"). The artwork is hand-signed with a large bold Chuck Jones signature, and dated 1993. Very Good condition. PLEASE NOTE: This item will require third-party shipping.
