Description

Swing Shift Cinderella Red Hot Animation Drawing Sequence with Preston Blair Signature Group of 3 (MGM, 1945). "All the chicks are crazy for a certain burly wolf..." sings Red Hot in her scintillating song and dance number from this classic Tex Avery-directed short, first shown in theaters on 8/25/1945. Here's a fantastic sequence of three original 12 field animation drawings of Red as she sings "Oh, Wolfie" and gyrates in an oh-so-seductive way - wow! The drawings are in graphite, noted in the lower right corner as 648 (seen at the 5:24 timestamp) with an approximate image size of 4.5" x 8.25"; 664 (at the 5.25 timestamp) with an image size of 5.5" x 8.75"; and 57 (seen at the 5:29 timestamp) with an image size 4.5" x 8". The 664 drawing has been hand-signed by Red's designer and animator, Preston Blair (1908 - 1995), famous for his books on animation art (as well as being Mary Blair's brother-in-law). The drawings are in Very Good condition overall, with minor handling wear and mild age-related paper toning.
