DescriptionStreamlined Greta Green Junior and Stock Car Animation Drawings Sequence of 90 (Warner Brothers, 1937). This Merry Melodies cartoon starred a little car named Junior who defies the instructions of his taxi dancing mother to attend school and grow up to be a respectable touring sedan. He instead sneaks off to the city to race trains. This is practically the entire scene of Junior watching a stock car race. It's a collection of 90 drawings mostly of Junior and others of the stock car rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field 2-peghole paper. This particular scene never made it into the final production which makes it rare and one-of-a-kind. This is an opportunity to own a never-before-seen sequence from a very early Friz Freleng-directed Warner Brothers short. The lot exhibits handling and toning. Condition is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
