    Description

Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1928). Historic Ub Iwerks original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing of Mickey Mouse in his first widely released role, from Steamboat Willie. This short was directed by Walt Disney and premiered at the Colony Theater on November 18, 1928. This is a great original animation drawing of the scene where Mickey is playing the teeth of the large cow. You can find it at the 6:27 mark in to the short. The number 377 is written on the bottom right corner, and the blue stamped number on back is 372. Nice 5" image of a smiling Mickey, with the great musical notes on the drawing. If 2018 is Mickey's 90th birthday year, then this is where it really did "all start with a mouse!" Frame taped to backing board. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
