Sport Goofy in Soccermania Goofy Production Drawings Group of 15 (Walt Disney, 1987). When Huey, Dewey, and Louie try to convince Uncle Scrooge McDuck to donate $1.49 so they can buy a championship trophy for their soccer team, Scrooge instead gives them an old trophy that he thinks is worthless. After they learn that the trophy is actually a rare artifact worth a million dollars Scrooge sponsors his nephews in an effort to win back the trophy. To assist the triplets they enlist the aid of a surprisingly athletic and agile Goofy. Hilarious hijinks ensue in this 1987 NBC television special, Sport Goofy in Soccermania. From that special we have a fun assortment of 15 drawings, 14 of which feature those long-time enemies of Scrooge Mc Duck, the Beagle Boys. These drawings largely consist of the key poses from an exaggerated "surprise take." Along with the sequential animation drawings, one particularly expressive drawing has been re-traced numerous times, in varying stages of rough animation vs. "clean-up." One final drawing depicts Scrooge's nephew holding the "trophy in question" - and not looking very pleased with it, either! Each of the pieces was rendered in graphite and colored pencil on 12 field 3-peghole animation paper. The artwork, produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation, is over 30 years old making this a great opportunity to acquire some vintage Disney animation art. This is actual working production art and thus will have minor handling, artist notes, and normal edge wear; otherwise the artwork is in Very Good condition.
