SpongeBob SquarePants Style Guide/Publicity Model Drawing Original Art (Nickelodeon, c. 1999-2000s). "First bun, then patty, followed by ketchup, mustard, pickles, onions, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and bun. In that order!" SpongeBob prepares the perfect Krabby Patty in this phenomenal original style guide/publicity model drawing for his titular Nicktoon, SpongeBob SquarePants. In media and animation a style guide, also known as a design or show bible, is an exhaustive compendium that typically includes character information and model sheets, setting and story, and other important details to help keep all aspects of the show cohesive from episode development to consumer products. SpongeBob SquarePants debuted in 1999 as one of the final original Nicktoons of the decade, and quickly grew to immense levels of popularity. He soon appeared on a wide variety of merchandise as well as throughout the pages of Nickelodeon's eponymous children's magazine including one issue with a pull-out poster featuring his Krabby Patty cooking skills. SpongeBob's job at the Krusty Krab has been an integral part of the series since the 1997 pilot "Help Wanted" which was recut for the 1999 broadcast debut, and this fantastic drawing has those key job skills on full display. Rendered primarily in orange colored pencil, Krusty Krab uniformed SpongeBob has a character height of 7.25" within the full image area of 10" x 8" featured full-figured with his right arm drawn separately and a wave of burger ingredients floating beside him all on a sheet of 14" x 11" bond paper. With typical handling and edge wear including minor corner creases/tears and faint age-related toning, overall this outstanding model drawing is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
