Description
SpongeBob SquarePants "Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost" SpongeBob and Patrick Animation Drawing Signed by Tom Kenny (Nickelodeon, 1999). "Hide Patrick, hide!" SpongeBob and Patrick sure are causing a ruckus outside Squidward's house in this original animation drawing signed by SpongeBob's voice actor Tom Kenny from the SpongeBob SquarePants season 1 episode 11 segment "Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost". Kenny has been the sole voice of SpongeBob since the show's premiered in 1999, and has won an Annie Award (2010) and two Daytime Emmy (2018, 2020) for his outstanding voice acting on the series. In this early episode, SpongeBob and Patrick accidentally crush a wax sculpture of Squidward believing they have killed their real neighbor. Spotted only 35 seconds into the segment, SpongeBob and Patrick are seen playing a chaotically loud and seemingly rule-less game outside Squidward's window. The pair have been rendered to full-figures in graphite on a sheet of 12 field animation paper with SpongeBob measuring 2.5" x 3" and Patrick measuring 2.75" x 4.5" surrounded by a wealth of animator's notes. The drawing bears Kenny's signature in the lower center as well as an orange Nickelodeon seal in the lower left, and is accompanied by a Nickelodeon CoA. The piece has been placed under a studio mat with an overall size of 14.75" x 11.75" and an aperture of 11" x 8". With typical studio handling and edge wear including small areas of superficial surface wrinkles, overall this delightful drawing is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
