Description
Spider-Man Animation Drawing Sequence of 32 (Marvel/Grantray-Lawrence Animation, 1967). "Look out! Here comes the Spider-Man!" An amazing sequence of original 12 field animation drawings from the very first Spider-Man animated TV series. In this group, you see Spider-Man as he runs toward the viewer from a far distance; in the first few drawings, his image size is a mere .325", leading up to a size of 2.75". Art is in graphite and blue pencil, numbered 1 through 30, plus 32 and 33. These are from the first season, which featured an incorrect six-legged spider logo on the costume; this was changed to eight legs for the second and third seasons. Ray Patterson, producer of the first season, signed each sheet beginning with 13. Overall condition is Very Good, with minor handling wear. An original studio timing sheet is also included.Auction Info
