Society Dog Show Mickey Mouse and Pluto Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939). This is a fantastic production drawing of Mickey Mouse and Pluto from Walt Disney's short subject film, Society Dog Show. In the film, Mickey enters Pluto into a high-society dog show, but before Pluto can show the judges how awesome he is mayhem ensues. In this image we see Mickey guiding Pluto up onto the stage to show off his roller skating skills. Unfortunately before he has a chance, a fire breaks out, leaving Pluto with no other choice than to rescue Fifi the Peke with whom he has a major crush on. You will find this scene around the 6:22 mark. The image area measure 8.5" x 4.75". The artwork was rendered in graphite with colored pencil highlights on 12 field animation paper. The piece is in a frame of 19" x 16.5" under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 10.75" x 8.5". Frame sold as-is. This adorable drawing would make a nice acquisition for any collector looking to add a vintage piece to their animation art collection. Very Good condition. From the MacLaughlin Family Disney Collection.
