Society Dog Show Mickey and Pluto Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1939).
"He's a very fine dog sir, and he's smart!" says Mickey Mouse to the Judge as he and Pluto enter the fancy high society dog show where they are hopelessly outclassed and have little chance of winning. But when a fire breaks out in the building, Pluto bravely goes in to save Fifi and is a hero. This animated short subject film was produced by Walt Disney, directed by Bill Roberts and animated by Shamus Culhane, Fred Moore, John Lounsbery, Norm Ferguson, and Clyde Geronomi. The film was released on 2/3/39. This is a superb sequence of three 12 field, 5-peghole animation drawings of Mickey, Pluto and the judge. You can see this image around the 7:44 mark when Pluto receives a hero medal from the judge. These are terrific images rendered in graphite drawing with red and green pencil. The nice large image area measuring 8.5" x 6.5". Condition is Very Good.
