Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Storybook Illustrations by Al Dempster Original Art Group of 4 (Walt Disney/Simon & Schuster, 1948). Here's a set of rare black and white illustrations from this early version of the Snow White children's storybook. Later versions redid the illustrations as full color paintings, but these four pieces of original art are in dark graphite on paper, with some minor whiteout. Images include Snow White about to plant a kiss on Grumpy's head (image size is approximately 4.75" x 4"); Snow White dancing with a dwarf as Doc claps his hands in time (image 5.5" x 4.5"); Grumpy falling in a water trough (size 6" x 4.25"); and Snow White crying in the woods as her animal friends look on (size 5.5" x 5.25"). This last piece has rubber cement staining, and is in Fair condition, while the other three pieces are in Good condition with minor staining, handling, and paper toning.
