    Description

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Bashful Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). Here's a classic image of one of the seven dwarfs, Bashful, actually calling out "Hi Ho!" This outstanding graphite and color pencil drawing is on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper and he stands 5.25" tall (which is pretty good for an animated dwarf) and his shadow is 6" tall. The image is from a scene in the Diamond Mine and you can see his pick axe in hand. It is very hard to find drawings of any of the dwarfs inside the mine and we are offering two of Bashful from this same scene in the auction! It is handsomely matted and glass front framed to 17" x 16". With only slight tanning, otherwise in Fine condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
