Description
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Animation Drawings Sequence of 4 (Walt Disney, 1937)."Let me see your hands. Why Doc, I'm surprised!" says Snow White as she asks to see all the dwarfs' clean hands in this 1937 Walt Disney masterpiece, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. In the film Snow White is a lonely princess living with her stepmother, a vain Queen. The Queen worries that Snow White will look better than she, so she forces Snow White to work as a scullery maid and asks her Magic Mirror daily "who is the fairest one of all". For years the mirror always answers that the Queen is. One day, the Magic Mirror informs the Queen that Snow White is now "the fairest in the land." The jealous Queen orders her Huntsman to take Snow White into the forest and kill her. From Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs we have an outstanding sequence of four 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings showing Snow White asking to inspect the Dwarfs' hands. You will find this image around the 0:40:22 mark in the film. These are fantastic illustrations, hand-drawn in graphite with red highlights and measuring 7". Each piece is noted as 6, 29, 41, and 68 in the bottom right corner. Three pieces have a studio ink stamp on the lower left that reads; 2001 5B 17. Snow White drawings of this quality are becoming harder and harder to find. This would be a superb addition to any animation collection. Minor handling and age-related toning. Very Good condition.
