Sleeping Beauty Princess Aurora Rough Drawing (Walt Disney, 1959).
The 16th animated feature film from the Walt Disney Studios was Sleeping Beauty, released on 1/29/59. In this lot we have a fantastic animation layout drawing from a key scene in the film. Depicted in this drawing is Princess Aurora after she has pricked her finger on the spinning wheel and fallen unconscious to the floor of her father's castle. This layout drawing shows how the camera zooms in, which is also noted on the piece by the animator. The artwork was created using blue, green and red pencil on 30" panoramic animation paper. The image area measures 25" x 10.25". This artwork could easily be the centerpiece of any animation art collection. The art is folded in the center and has three fold creases, age-related toning. Otherwise, condition is Good.
