Sleeping Beauty Maleficent as a Dragon Preliminary Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1959). "Thou Sword of Truth fly swift and sure, that evil die and good endure!" From Sleeping Beauty, Disney's 16th animated film, we have a glorious rough animation drawing displaying Maleficent's demise, pierced by the Sword of Truth. Similar to the image that appears at the 1:10:16 mark of the movie during the climactic fight between Prince Phillip and the Mistress of All Evil, this 16-field animation drawing shows the defeated Maleficent measuring a monumental figure size of 12.75" x 9.5". Numbered 65 in the lower right corner. Showing light handling and edge wear from production and presenting minor age-related toning, the lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
