Description
Sleeping Beauty Lackey Animation Drawing Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1959). From Disney's animated masterpiece Sleeping Beauty, we offer in this lot a group of three stupendous animation drawings starring the hilarious Lackey. This lively character shows up to cheer Princess Aurora's return celebration, covertly partaking in the festive drinking of the occasion. These three 16-field animation drawings are numbered F1, 27, and 56 in the bottom right corners, featuring the Lackey rendered in graphite and colored pencils as he appears at the 42:21, 42:25, and 42:26 timestamps of the film. The drawings show the tipsy character behind King Stefan's legs about to catch some of the falling wine with his lute (7.75" x 5.75") and two great images of the jolly character cradling the wine inside his instrument (4.25" x 8" and 4.5" x 7"). Normal age-related toning can be seen on the drawings. All three drawings have reinforced pegholes. In overall Very Good condition with light handling and edge wear from production.Auction Info
