Description
Sleeping Beauty Lackey and King Stefan Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1959). King Stefan closely examines the plans shown by the Lackey in this lot, showing the two characters from Sleeping Beauty in a remarkable original animation drawing. This comedic scene featured King Hubert and King Stefan celebrating the return of Princess Aurora after years of hiding from Maleficent's curse by sharing a bottle of wine. The Lackey, who has snuck a couple of drinks, arrives a bit tipsy to show King Stefan the plans for Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip's new home in this 16-field animation drawing, presenting both characters rendered in graphite on red colored pencil, sharing a joined image size of 8.75" x 9.25", as seen at about the 41:54 timestamp. Light age-related toning and reinforced pegholes can be seen on the drawing. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.Auction Info
