Description

Sleeping Beauty Briar Rose Preliminary Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1959). "I wonder why each little bird has a someone to sing to..." From Sleeping Beauty, Disney's famous 16th animated feature film, we have in this lot a great full-figure preliminary animation drawing of the undercover identity of Princess Aurora, Briar Rose. This 16-field animation drawing shows a very similar image to what appears at the 25:52 mark of the movie, as Briar Rose begins her song "I wonder." The character measures 6" tall, and it shows rounder facial features than her final model. The drawing has the pegholes taped to the lower edge, featuring the number 87 in the bottom right corner. Normal age-related toning can be seen on the drawing, as well as reinforced pegholes. The taped area presents toning, and overall, the lot is in Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.
