Description
Sleeping Beauty Briar Rose and Mock Prince Animation Drawing Pair (Walt Disney, 1959). "I know you. I walked with you once upon a dream. I know you. The gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam." Briar Rose dances with her woodland friends disguised as the Mock Prince in this lot, offering two fabulous animation drawings from Sleeping Beauty. The rare Mock Prince appears for a small scene in the movie after an Owl, a squirrel, birds, and rabbits steal some of Prince Phillip's clothes to reenact Briar Rose's dream. Rendered in graphite on 16-field animation sheets, these drawings show Briar Rose measuring 4.75" x 6.5", similar to what we see at the 30:31 timestamp, and the Mock Prince showing an image size of 5" x 5.25", numbered E110 and 47 in their bottom right corners. The Mock Prince's drawing also shows blue colored pencil. Both drawings have reinforced pegholes and present normal age-related toning.
