Sleeping Beauty and the Good Fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather with Princess Aurora Little Golden Book Double-Page Illustration Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1958). Absolutely stunning, here is a wonderful original illustration created for a 2-page spread in the 1958 Disney Little Golden Book Sleeping Beauty and the Good Fairies, featuring Princess Aurora, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather in the picturesque cottage in the woods. Rendered masterfully in gouache in a style reminiscent of Eyvind Earle's work on the film, this beautiful image measures 13" x 7.25" on 16" x 13.5" illustration board. The illustrations of the book are attributed to C.W. Satterfield and noted Disney storyboard artist Julius Svendsen. Numbered 14 and 15 in the lower left corner to denote the pages, the piece shows minor handling and edge wear with some toning from the adhesive used for the text on the page. There is a piece of tape spanning the piece near the top edge, and the overall condition is Very Good.Auction Info
