    Description

Simon Bar Sinister Concept Art by Joe Harris (General Mills/Total Television, 1963). Underdog's evil nemesis is seen in here in two side-by-side concept sketches by the series' original artist and series co-creator, Joe Harris. Simon Bar Sinister wanted to rule the world and be the wickedest man on earth. He was voiced by Allen Swift, and based on actor Lionel Barrymore's cold-hearted character in It's a Wonderful Life, "Mr. Potter." Simon's famous catch phrase was "Simon Says!" Underdog ran on NBC from 1964 through 1973, with over 124 episodes made; it was sponsored by General Mills. The drawing is in Conte crayon on beige paper mounted to backing board, with each image over 5" tall. Fine condition. Matted to an overall approximate size of 22" x 15".
