Description

Silly Symphonies The Practical Pig Practical Pig and Letter Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939). "The Wolf!...He's got 'em!" After receiving a letter from his brothers begging for help, Practical Pig realizes that his brothers have been captured by the Big Bad Wolf. However, the letter was delivered by none other than the Wolf himself, hoping to trick Practical Pig so that he can add another Little Pig to his dinner menu. This image depicts Practical as he drops the letter on the floor and angrily walks over to the side of his house, where he pulls a lever that traps the disguised Big Bad Wolf. This moment can be found at about the 4:33 mark of the 1939 Silly Symphony. This great drawing features a full-figure image of Practical Pig measuring about 3.75" x 4.75" alongside the letter from his brothers. The drawing is created with graphite and red pencil on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper, and it has been numbered 52 in its lower right corner. This expressive drawing is in Good to Very Good condition, with some edge wear and handling and some age-related toning.
