    Description

    Samuel Armstrong and Frank McSavage Woody Woodpecker Coloring Book Cover Illustration (Watkins-Strathmore, c. 1960). Former Disney artists Samuel Armstrong (background art on Dumbo, Bambi, and others) and Frank McSavage (worked on Snow White and Donald Duck shorts) combined their talents for this fun coloring book illustration featuring Woody Woodpecker and a pair of Chilly Willys. The art is in gouache on board, with an approximate image area of 11.5" x 15". The art is matted with a copy of the printed coloring book and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 28" x 21.25". Fine overall condition.
