Ruff and Reddy Show Storyboard, Script, and Cel Group (Hanna-Barbera, 1957). After leaving MGM Studios and Tom and Jerry, Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera changed animation history with their first TV series "The Ruff and Reddy Show." Voiced by the team of Daws Butler and Don Messick, this series premiered on NBC in December of 1957. It was Hanna-Barbera's first foray into television. This is a piece of television history. Fifteen pages of original storyboards ( four panels per page) by John Freeman for the "Rescue in the Deep Blue" Episode which ran on April 5, 1958. Also included in the lot, on HB Enterprises paper, are 19 pages of hand written dialogue for the same episode. Rounding out the lot is a trimmed production cel of Reddy on a trimmed Hanna Barbera production background. Matte opening is 6" x 4", Reedy is 4" tall. Cel may be stuck to the background. Slight crack but no paint loss to the face. Great image.
