Description
Roujin Z Haruko Original Animation Drawing (A.P.P.P., 1991). "No, Mr. Takazawa! Stay back!" Haruko, the central protagonist in Roujin Z, is frightened but stands between the new machine monstrosity and the highly advanced, automated robotic nursing bed known as the Z-001 that's gone rogue in this amazing animation drawing. The cult-classic sci-fi film was originally released on 9/14/1991 and was a satire about geriatric healthcare with the protagonist Haruko striving to rescue the elderly patient that has been used to test the government's experimental machine the Z-001. Disguised as a new way to care for elderly patients, the machine is actually an experimental weapons robot that quickly goes haywire. Haruko and one of her fellow nursing students Maeda try to stop it, but it's far from an easy task. This immaculate hand-drawn image appears at the 56:22 timestamp as Haruko manages to finally catch up to Takazawa only to discover that a military version of the Z-001 is approaching to capture him. Haruko was voiced by actress Toni Barry who also portrayed the main protagonist, Sandy Newman, in Gall Force: Earth Chapter series. The combined image size measures at 9.25" x 7" and marked with production notes from the artists such as color coding. The overall condition is Very Good with minor paint residue, very light age-related toning, and little handling wear and edge wear.Auction Info
