DescriptionRoman City Conquest Screen-Used Animation Drawing by Corny Cole (PBS/Kurtz and Friends, 1994). Cornelius "Corny" Cole III (1930 - 2011) may not be a household name, but to those who worked in animation, he was a brilliant artist, mentor, instructor, and all-around good guy. His resume includes work for Disney, UPA, Warner Brothers, Chuck Jones, and DePatie-Freleng studios. Here is an incredibly powerful ballpoint pen drawing of a Roman conquest, on 16 field frosted cel as seen at the 8:58 mark in this Emmy Award-winning PBS Special, based on host David Macaulay's book City. The cel has been hand-signed by animation director Bob Kurtz, and includes a clear protective overlay cel. Fine condition with minor handling.
