Rolly Crump - Jungle Animals OVERSIZED 46.5" x 46.5 Painting (c. 1990s-2000s). Ronald "Rolly" Crump (1930 - 2023) joined the Disney Studios in 1952 as an inbetweener and assistant animator, where he worked on such films as Peter Pan. In 1959, he shifted to WED Enterprises (now known as Walt Disney Imagineering), where he became one of the top designers of Disneyland. Some of the attractions Rolly contributed designs to include the Haunted Mansion, the Enchanted Tiki Room, as well as designs for the Magic Kingdom in Florida and the 1964 World's Fair, including "It's a Small World." Here's an ENORMOUS high-stylized painting from the hand of this innovative genius, depicting a gazelle, a lion, and a lion cub, all peaking out from the green jungle as the sunrises overhead. The art is in gouache on stretched canvas measuring approximately 46.5" x 46.5", floated in a frame measuring 48.5" x 48.5"; it's signed in light ink along the lower right. Condition is Fine with light handling.
