    Description

Rocky and Bullwinkle Sketch Group by Bill Hurtz (c. 1990s). Three pieces by long-time Jay Ward Studios director, the late Bill Hurtz. Included are three consumer product graphite sketch drawings, all signed by Mr. Hurtz. One features Bullwinkle with the famous "lion out of my hat" gag, on 8.5" x 11" paper; the second has Bullwinkle pulling Rocky from the hat, 10" x 12" on onion skin paper with several stains; and the third showcases Bullwinkle as the Jolly Juggler with Rocky, Boris, and Natasha on 12-field animation paper, signed by both Hurtz and Jay Ward writer Chris Jenkyns, with an image size of 9" x 7". All three pieces include Bill's Japanese chop mark, given to him when he wrapped up the Little Nemo in Slumberland feature. With very little Bullwinkle production art on the market, this group is most desirable. Good to Fine condition.
