Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote Sketch by Chuck Jones (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). The Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote made their debut in the Chuck Jones directed cartoon Fast and Furry-ous in 1949. With a great deal of vintage Looney Tunes artwork being thrown away in the 1960s, Chuck Jones began doing hand-painted limited edition cels based on his original art, many times inspired by shorts he directed. This is a rare Chuck Jones original rough drawing of Wile E. Coyote and The Road Runner in graphite on 12 field animation paper, with image sizes of 8" and 9". It has #2 on bottom right. This was sold by Chuck Jones Galleries and has a Linda Jones COA that states "The drawing was created by Mr. Jones as a connectional drawing for an existing or future limited edition. This is an authentic original by Chuck Jones." The great drawing is hand-signed by animation legend Mr. Chuck Jones (1912-2002). Fine condition.
