Description
Ride 'em Plow Boy Oswald Cartoon Background Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1928). Rare original background layout drawing for the Disney Oswald the Lucky Rabbit short of which no print is known to exist. Up until this lot, only a storyboard page has survived, leaving this as the only production art known to exist from this short. The art is in graphite on 2-peghole animation paper; "Scene 4" is written on bottom border. Great detail. This short had animation by Ub Iwerks, Hugh Harman, Rollin Hamilton, and a young Friz Freleng. "Action" is written faintly in red in the center. A copy of the surviving storyboard is included in the lot, showcasing the hen house and chopping block. Slight faint crease in center of page and vertical down center. In Very Good condition with minor handling, edge wear, and light folds.Auction Info
