Retta Scott Bambi Story Sketch Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1942). Series of three highly detailed story sketches of the dogs attacking Faline. These are from the hand of Disney's first female animator, Ms. Retta Scott (1916 - 1990). This is the scene in the film where Frank Thomas wrote of Retta Scot's sequence with animals "that she seemed to have a keen understanding of their words and attitudes." These amazing story sketches are done in graphite and charcoal on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper; one is mounted to black paper with a black paper mat. The sketches take up almost the entire 12 field paper, and all are individual masterpieces of art. Minor handling, pinholes, and staple marks in corners, all away from art. Fine condition. From the Retta Scott Archives.
