    Description

Red Hot Riding Hood Animation Drawing (MGM, 1943). "We now give you our brand new little sweetheart of swing, that red-headed ball of fire... Red Hot Riding Hood!" Preston Blair (1908-1995) animated this famous song and dance routine from Red Hot Riding Hood in this Tex Avery-directed short released back in 1943. It's a fantastic rough animation drawing of Red in the midst of her dance number. The 8" character is rendered in graphite on 12 field animation paper and signed by Mr. Blair in the lower right corner. A Turner Entertainment COA is on back of frame. This cartoon was voted the 7th best cartoon in the book The 50 Greatest Cartoons by Jerry Beck. The drawing is matted and framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 9" x 12", in a 21" x 23" frame. The frame is sold as-is; condition of the artwork is Very Good.
