Puss Café Pluto Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1950).
In Walt Disney's Puss Café, Milton the cat is walking down the street and notices a yard with milk on the porch, birds in a birdhouse, and fish leaping in the pond. Not realizing it is guarded by a dog, Pluto, he shows the buffet opportunity to his simple-minded feline pal, Richard. The cats make short work of the milk, but Pluto chases them off. They return for the birds, without much success. Finally, they go after the fish, and make good progress, having sent Pluto flying out of the yard by using his hammock as a slingshot and diving underwater for the fish with a makeshift diving helmet. Puss Café, was directed by Charles Nichols and released on 6/9/50 with animation by veteran animators, George Kreisl, George Nicholas and Phil Duncan. Disney Legend Inductee, Pinto Colvig provided vocal effects for this Walt Disney produced short subject film. This drawing was rendered in graphite with red pencil on 12 field 3-peghole animation paper. The image of Pluto and the two cats can be seen around the 4:20 mark. The image measures a whopping 9" x 6.5". Condition is Very Good.
