Description

Popeye Animation Drawing (King Features Studios, 1960). King Features had no cartoon studios in 1960, so Popeye storyboards were produced in their offices and sent to either Paramount/Famous Studios, Larry Harmon Productions, Total TV Productions, Gene Deitch/Rembrandt Studios, Halas and Batchelor, or Jack Kenney Productions to animate. It is not known which house produced this animation drawing of the one-eyed sailor, but it's a great full body image that stands 3.75" tall on the 12 field 3-peghole animation paper. He's drawn in graphite and red pencil. The page is slightly tanned, with minor handling and wear. Overall in Very Good condition.
