    Description

Poor Cinderella Betty Boop Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Max Fleischer, 1934). A pair of sequenced drawings of Betty, who appears none too happy at being forced to work as a scullery maid in Poor Cinderella. This short was the first in the Fleischer's "Color Classics" series and was shot in two-strip Cinecolor, which emphasized reds and blues. Betty is 5" tall, drawn in graphite on 10 field top-peghole animation paper numbered 178 and 179. Of special note is drawing 179; the animator added a little "extra detail," visible through her outstretched arm. The first drawing has a fold crease along the left side, away from the image area; otherwise Fine condition.
