Description

Pluto Rough Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, c. 1930s-40s). Pluto is a little frightened in this original 12 field rough animation drawing. Of what? We're not sure. It may be Mickey's scolding, or another animal. Regardless, it's a fantastic full figure pose that reflects how far the animators had come and how much Mickey's best pal's style and character acting adapted over the years. The drawing is similar to poses that appear in a few Pluto shorts including Bone Trouble, Pantry Pirate, and Mickey's Grand Opera (found at about 0:55), and several poses throughout Mother Pluto. The lot is estimated to be from the 1930s-1940s based on the style Pluto is drawn in, an era that gave him appearances in over 100 shorts! This appearances not only included Donald and Mickey's shorts, but his own as well. The pose measures roughly 6.75'' x 5.75'' on the page and is displayed in a 11'' x 8.75'' mat and 19'' x 16'' Plexiglas-fronted frame that is ready for display in your collection. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. Whether you're a longtime fan of Pluto or looking to add your very first Pluto animation drawing to your collection, this is a great find that is in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and faint toning from age.
