    Description

Plane Crazy Mickey and Minnie Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1929). The Mickey Mouse short Plane Crazy was first shown to a test audience as a silent film, on May 15, 1928, making it technically the first Mickey Mouse cartoon. It was co-directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. Sound was eventually added and the film was released to the general public on March 17, 1929. This rare 12 field 2-peghole graphite animation drawing of both Mickey and Minnie Mouse is attributed to Ub Iwerks. The number 355 is written in the bottom right corner and a blue number stamp 115 is on the reverse of the drawing. The image of both measures approximately 3" x 2". Minor handling and edge wear, otherwise in Fine condition.
