Description

Pinocchio Jiminy Cricket Color Model Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). "Always let your conscious be your guide." This is an original color model drawing of Pinocchio's conscience, Jiminy Cricket, possibly from the hand of Ward Kimball. The 9" tall image is rendered graphite and colored pencil on 12 field 5-peghole paper. It is stamped "Return to Eunice Samuels" who worked in Disney's Ink and Paint Department. This a magnificent image and only the best were chosen for use as color models. Items like this were carefully cataloged and rarely made it out of the studio. Jiminy was animated by the legendary member of "Walt's Nine Old Men," Ward Kimball. There is a 2" piece torn away from the bottom border nowhere near the art and easily matted over. Condition is Good.
