Description
Pinocchio Jiminy Cricket Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). "I'll bet a lot of you folks don't believe that, about a wish coming true, do you?" This beautiful animation drawing of Jiminy Cricket comes from the beginning of the classic film Pinocchio, found at approximately 2:11 as the conscience introduces the story. One of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Ward Kimball (1914 - 2002) both designed Jiminy and supervised his animation. The full figure, centered drawing is rendered in graphite with color pencil and a rough silhouette in the top right in color pencil. The figure measures about 2.75'' x 4.25'' and the area in the upper right is roughly the same. It is displayed in a 6.75'' x 10.25'' mat window with a 14'' x 18'' glass fame and plate below the drawing reading "1940 The Art of Pinocchio". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. There is a Courvoisier Certificate of Authenticity on the back meaning it was originally framed by Guthrie Courvoisier (1903 - 1963).
