Pink Panther Illustration Signed by Friz Freleng (DePatie-Freleng, 1977). An original drawing of the Pink Panther, in black marker and watercolor on illustration board, believed to have been created as a publicity piece or for consumer products. The Pink Panther is over 13" tall. Boldly signed by Friz Freleng, who directed the animated opening title sequence in the first Blake Edwards Pink Panther movie in 1964. Although the title of the film actually refers to a diamond, the animated Panther proved so popular that a long running series of theatrical cartoons was launched shortly after. The art is in Fine condition, matted to an overall 19" x 25".
