Description

Peter Pan Wendy Darling Animation Drawing (1953). "My stories? But they're all about you." Carefully affixing Peter's shadow, Wendy Darling gives a charming smile in this 12 field, 3-peghole animation drawing from Walt Disney's animated adaptation of Peter Pan. Released to theatres on 2/5/1953, directed by Hamilton Luske, Clyde Geronimi, and Wilfred Jackson with animation by all the members of Walt Disney's "Nine Old Men". This piece of remarkable production art was crafted from the hand of Harvey Toomb (the supervising animator for Wendy). Rendered in graphite pencil and measuring about 5.5" x 6.75", Wendy can be seen in final form at about the 13:41 timestamp, when Peter accepts her help attaching his shadow with needle and thread after his hopeless attempt with a bar of soap. Capturing the first momentous meeting of Wendy with the Boy who wouldn't grow up! With light edge and handling wear and slight age-related toning. This piece is in Very Good condition.
