Description

Peter Pan Title Card Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1953). This is the original drawing of the title lettering for the 1954 release of Walt Disney animated feature Peter Pan (1953) in Portugal (April) and Brazil (July). It was created by a Disney Studio artist, and cel paintings were lettered from it. The imagery is identical to the English-language title card with the exception of the addition of "As Aventuras de" above "Peter Pan." It is the third card in the opening title sequence, and "3" is written at lower right. Notes at left call out that "Peter Pan" and the text below were painted on separate cels, for they do appear in the film together but not at the same moment. Art is in graphite on an untrimmed 12" x 10" 3-peghole animation sheet. The image size is 9.25" x 6.75". Paper toning, with some handling and edge wear away from the image. Torn pegholes. Very Good condition.
