Description

Peter Pan Pair of Captain Hook and Peter Pan Animation Drawings (Walt Disney, 1953). The battle is raging, and Peter Pan and Captain Hook are at the center of it in this pair of action-packed matching 16 field 3-peghole animation drawings from Disney's 1953 animated feature Peter Pan! Created for the swashbuckling final scenes of the film, these two full-figure drawings made for the same moment at about 1:09:23 mark. The hero and villain are each on their own page measuring approximately 6'' x 3.25'' (Peter) and 7.5'' x 6'' (Hook) with dynamic poses. Most of Hook's action and fight sequences were taken on by one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Woolie Reitherman (1909 - 1985) and the drawing of Hook in this lot is attributed to him, showcasing just how well he could create dynamic character movement and incredible action. The drawings are numbered A27 and 27 in the lower right corners, indicating they are a matching pair. Both are in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and faint age-related toning.
