This original production drawing features the infamous Captain Hook in a humorous moment from Peter Pan (1953), captured near the 46:31 timestamp. After yet another chaotic encounter with Peter Pan, Hook is seen catching a cold-an uncharacteristically vulnerable moment for the elegant but vengeful pirate. As the main antagonist, Captain Hook commands The Jolly Roger, forever plotting revenge on the boy who fed his severed hand to a crocodile. Designed by Milt Kahl and primarily animated by Frank Thomas and Woolie Reitherman-three of Walt Disney's revered "Nine Old Men"-Hook is one of the most iconic villains in Disney history. Voiced by Hans Conried, the character exudes both menace and comedic flair. This drawing is rendered in graphite and color pencil on 16-field animation paper, numbered 115 and circled, indicating its status as a key frame.
