Description
Peter Pan Captain Hook Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1953). "Coward? Me?" Captain Hook knows Peter won't fight him man to man, so he climbs the rigging of the Jolly Roger and tests that theory. Milt Kahl designed the recognizable villain, and the character was primarily animated by nine incredible artists, including six of Disney's "Nine Old Men": Ward Kimball, Woolie Reitherman, Eric Larson, John Lounsbery, Ollie Johnston, and Frank Thomas. Reitherman was the one who supervised this scene. This spectacular 16 field 3-peghole animation drawing captures the villainous Captain Hook as he approaches Peter Pan at about 1:10:14, sword in hand and more furious than we've ever seen him. Rendered in graphite with color pencil, this exceptional drawing is centered on the page and measures about 7.75'' x 6'' with a studio production stamp in the lower left corner, marking it for Sequence 14 and Scene 72. The drawing itself is noted 97 in the lower right and comes with a Howard Lowery Certificate of Authenticity. Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and faint age-related toning.Auction Info
