Description

Peter Pan Captain Hook Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1953) "Yes, Miss Bell, Captain Hook admits defeat." Captain Hook puts on the roguish charm of a pirate in this rough animation drawing from Walt Disney's monumental 14th animated feature length film. This dashing villain was brought to life by supervising animator, one of Walt's Nine Old Men and Disney Legend, Frank Thomas (1912 - 2004) and was voiced by the great Hans Conrad (1917 - 1982). Rendered in graphite and blue colored pencil, Hook consoles a bitter Tinkerbell as seen near the 53:10 timestamp. Hook measures an image area of approximately 5.5" x 5" on the 16 field 3-peghole animation sheet and is notated 16 in the bottom right corner. With handling and edge wear, slight age-related toning, and minor surface debris. There are also three pinholes that surround Hook, each about 2 inches or more away from the image. Overall, this piece is in Very Good condition.
