Description

Peter Pan Captain Hook and Peter Pan Animation Drawings Matching Pair of 2 (Walt Disney, 1953). Facing off in this pair of matching action-packed animation drawings are Peter Pan and his Neverland nemesis, Captain Hook, from Disney's 1953 animated feature Peter Pan! Rendered on their own separate 16 field 3-peghole page, both pieces were created for the climactic battle between the Lost Boys and Hook's pirate crew, made for the same moment at about 1:09:23 when Captain Hook rears back his rapier for a hefty strike. The hero and villain are each measure approximately 5" x 4" (Peter) and 7" x 6.5" (Hook) with dynamic poses noted as A26 or 26 on the bottom right corner of both pages. Making them a unique sequential match! These two fight sequence images were taken on by one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Woolie Reitherman (1909 - 1985) and the drawing of Hook in this lot is attributed to him, showcasing his mastery of dynamic character movement and choreographed action. Both pieces show light edge and handling wear, faint age-related toning, and minor surface debris. Peter's drawing also has a bit of the top left corner missing. Overall, this pair is in Very Good condition.
