Description
Pete Alvarado and Bill Wright Uncle Scrooge #205 Comic Book Cover Original Art (Gold Key/Western Publishing, 1983). Scrooge crosses a shallow stream by hopping from rock to rock with two big bags of cash, as the defeated Beagle Boys find themselves all wet! This great comic book cover original is from one of the final issues produced by Western Publishing, ending a run of Uncle Scrooge comics that began in 1953, under the Dell Comics imprint. Carl Barks created the thrifty duck in Dell's Four Color #386, in the story "Christmas on Bear Mountain" (1947). The crisp artwork is in ink with red and blue guidelines and minor whiteout on Bristol board measuring approximately 13" x 19"; image size is 11" x 8.75". A staple is in the top border area, well away from the image. Fine condition with slight handling wear.Auction Info
