    Description

Peanuts It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Children's Book Illustration (1970s). One of the most memorable lines from the 1966 TV Special It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is when the kids look through their bags of candy, and Charlie Brown exclaims... "I got a rock." Charles Schulz said so many people felt so bad for him that his studio got large quantities of candy sent to Charlie Brown after the special aired on 10/27/66. This one-of-a-kind, hand-painted children's book illustration shows all of the Peanuts characters after they have returned from trick or treating. Goauche paint on board with the line art on an acetate overlay. Board is 12" x 10" and characters are approximately 3". This is the original artwork used for the book of the same title. Fine condition.
