    Description

Peanuts It's a Mystery, Charlie Brown Lucy Storyboard/Concept Drawing Original Art (Bill Melendez, 1974). The 11th Prime Time Charlie Brown/Peanuts Special premiered on CBS-TV, on 2/1/74. In it, Snoopy becomes "Sherlock Holmes" as he searches for Woodstock's stolen nest. Lucy converts her Psychiatry booth into a court with herself as the wig-wearing judge, upping her usual 5¢ fee by two cents -- her booth now reads "the Judge is in!" This is a piece of rare original hand-drawn and painted color key/storyboard concept art, done in graphite and gouache on thin board measuring approximately 4.5" x 4", marked SC 88-113 in the lower left corner corner. This is from the hand of longtime Bill Melendez Studio color key and background artist Dean Spille. The art is beautifully framed with glass for an overall size of 21" x 20", and is in Fine condition.
